10 ways to cleanse your mind, body & soul at Atmantan

What’s a getaway if it’s not an opportunity to relax and rejuvenate? For me, that means escaping to a wellness retreat. And in the truest sense of the word, Atma (soul)+Mana (mind)+Tann (body) is exactly that. Want proof? Here are 10 takeaways from my stay —

You can’t get closer to holistic heaven than Atmantan. Tucked away in the mountains, it overlooks the pristine lake Mulshi and the view is beyond! Being a short drive away from Mumbai and cities around makes it a delightful destination spa to unwind at.

No trip here is complete without treating yourself to mindful eating. While rebooting healthy habits, they refrain from serving tea, coffee, and alcohol. Also, their gluten free 3-4 course meals and sugar-free desserts from the restaurant Vistara and Cafe Tejus are flavourful & look like they belong to a MasterChef kitchen. Mmm.

Once you’ve got a taste of organic veggies and edible flowers from their Chef’s Garden, which are used in their seasonal influenced offerings, your regular store bought vegetables probably won’t cut it. So, make sure you pair all their farm to table fare with a cup of fresh green tea.

If that wasn’t enough to give you heart eyes, Atmantan’s super green oxygen park, Aria surely will. And maybe it’s me, but this space is both, relatively cooler and refreshing. Now you know what that means: time to grab a chair and chill.

Their list of activities really stands out. Expect peaceful sessions of Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga etc at the amphitheater, circuit training, cooking, croquet, mini golf and dance classes. If these aren’t up your alley, then boot camps & trekking are everything to keep your energy levels up!

And better yet, during your downtime, you can lounge at their salt water pool or even try some water aerobics or pilates. Swooning apart, it hydrates the skin, stimulates circulation and so on. Trust me, once you’ve immersed yourself inside, you’ll never want to leave!

Every getaway gets better when massages, clinical & beauty treatments come into picture and Atmantan is no exception.  To suit every spa goers need, they offer deep tissue, hot stone & Thai massages along with body wraps, colon hydrotherapy, and the list goes on.

At a time when many prefer texting over talking, Atmantan encourages to unplug from technology. And swap staring at your insta stories for looking out into the wilderness, on a digital detox which lets you experience the world at a slower pace as you absorb every little moment.

Winding up, my biggest takeaway from Atmantan has to be my emotional session with Dr. Anu Mehta, META Health Master trainer as it probably came at a time when I needed it the most. While transforming my mindset for self-healing, she not only assisted me in finding a mind-body-soul connection but also my centre!
