At LAOB, we’ve hunted down the coolest café’s, bistro’s, restaurants, salads bars like it’s our job (which it actually is). So, stop your google search and take our list to be your very own healthy bible on where to brunch, grab a quick bite, refuel post a workout, chill over a wholesome dinner, or even pick up a juice for that matter. And here they’re –

#1 Kitchen Garden

All-day café, Bandra

Ah! We can hardly even begin to decide why we love it so much. Maybe it’s their a la carte menu alone that’s earned it a spot here. No, Wait! We think we’ll go with the grab-and-go selection that’s one hell of a crowd pleaser. Frankly, everything, from their salads to sandwiches, are so damn good, you’ll forget it’s good for you!

#LAOB approved Eats: We’re totally digging their avocado toast, the red and green protein pots along with apple raspberry crumble. And you’re welcome!

#2 Bombay Salad Co.       

Salad Bar, Bandra

Let’s talk about salads bowls, shall we? Think quinoa, kale, zucchini. Mmm. Fyi, you may be surprised by how filling these can be. And if you’re up for some creativity, they’ll let you customize your own with a crazy number of mix and match options. Also, you can up your health factor with their organic wraps, sandwiches etc.

#LAOB approved Eats: Their Avocado yogurt milk vanilla smoothie and  Turkey with caramelized onion wrap are just beyond!.

#3 Yoga House

One-stop wellness shop, Carter Road

If you’re a vegetarian who’s in it for the health benefits, then Yoga House ought to be your go-to. P.S- We’re giving full marks to their Santorini-style bungalow for its calm vibe and cool concept. Using natural ingredients like seeds, grains, and vegetables, this macrobiotic café serves breakfast porridges, desserts etc and they like totally had us at their vegan-friendly menu!

#4 IThink Fitness Café

Health café, Bandra

It’s truly a dream hotspot for dairy and wheat free food lover. Also, did we mention that they pride themselves on using fresh ingredients, which is what we’re always on the lookout for. Loaded with flavors, their protein-rich plates, smoothies, and shots are ideal when you’ve vowed to eat clean. So, where do we get in line?

#LAOB approved Eats: We  literally gorge on their teriyaki smoked chicken rice wrap,  coconut chia bowl and half-hass avo & smoked salmon salad.

#5 Sequel

Bistro & Juice Bar, Bandra

A celebrity-favorite haunt, it’s more than just a Bistro; Sequel is a gluten-free food hub. Apart from cold-pressed juices & smoothies, they serve healthy preps of vegetables and meats too. Best of all? If colorful bowls servings are the way to your heart then you’ve got to drop by here. Only because these not only taste good but look so mesmerizing that you’ll want to Instagram them like right now!

#6 Birdsong

Deli & Café, Bandra

Step inside and you’ll see glass exteriors with minimalistic interiors that make Birdsong worth swooning over. Speaking of food, freshness literally cries out in every bite of their vegan cheese, gluten-free pasta, and bread etc. Plus, they’ve got bragging rights when it comes to serving some seriously drool-worthy desserts.

# LAOB approved eats: It’s their roasted lamb and caramelized onion sandwich, smoked eggplant with spicy hummus with herbed lavash along with flourless cakes which elevate Birdsong to the next level.

#7 Farmers Café

Restaurant, Bandra

Come to think of it, mindful eating doesn’t mean giving up on taste, instead, it’s about switching to wholesome meals. And that’s exactly what they offer. With organic ingredients being a prerequisite, they’re literally breathing creativity into their meticulously prepared skinny pizza’s, burgers, risotto’s etc. Even their Keto friendly menu is bound to impress many.

#LAOB approved Eats: Our go-to order here includes their Aglio E Olio, English breakfast pizza and pumpkin feta risotto.

#8 Ministry of Salads

Salad Bar, Breach Candy

Salad junkies rejoice! It’s the kind of place that makes it super easy to order right. All salads are under 500 calories and made with fresh, organic ingredients. Gluten-free? No problem. Ministry of Salads is up for any dietary challenge. Their menu also showcases seasonal hero ingredients along with DIY salads, wraps, and soups which are quite cool though.

#9 Prisim

Raw Vegan café, Grant Road

A clean eating heaven, Prisim is the first of its kind in our city. Many feel vegan foods lack the ability to tease your palate but this cafe will prove them wrong as their’s is a mindful eating experience. And they’ve got something for everyone, from pizzas to cheesy chips, quesadillas and so on. Interestingly, for them, food is nourishment for the soul rather than a quick fix for hunger pangs!

#10 The Village Shop

Healthy Food Restaurant, Bandra

Ever wanted to relish guilt free deserts? In that case, you’ve got to try them at this family-run space as they’ll prove that dietary restrictions don’t have to mean anything less than delicious. Having a casual setting, you can also expect seeing whole wheat aglio olio pasta and lasagne, avocado bruschetta’s, salads etc on their menu.

And if you haven’t already tried the guilt-free foods at these eateries, you so don’t know what you’re missing out on!
