London Fashion Week Round Up
Another week, another fashion capital- September is definitely on its way to becoming a month of fashion! NYFW set the bar pretty high but London just took it up another notch. From crocs at the Cristopher Kane show to the Hadid siblings all walking for Tommy Hilfiger, here are a plethora of looks we loved on the London runway.
Ashish- Rise and shine, shimmer. Taking our PJ dreams to a cosmic level with that killer silver sequins! And SOCKS- just socks on the runway are definitely proving Ashish to be ahead of his time.
Chalayan- Effortless and Classic this pantsuit/jumpsuit is the perfect morning to midnight kind of outfit. Cant wait to see it at a bunch of press cons!
Christopher Kane- Not only did he bring back the ugliest shoes (crocs) to the runway but glamourised them in a way that we may not mind getting one for the summer!
Daks- White and Grey stripes on a high-waisted pantsuit- need we elucidate why this Daks beauty is on our list of favourites?!
Emporio Armani- Sheer, sequin and slouch all in one look- can’t wait to see this on the streets of New York next summer.
Erdem- Tassels in red are just what we needed to take the glam quotient a notch higher than NYFW. And those shoes are to killing us- can someone please get us three?
Fashion East- Not sure if its the latex, the blue violet, the accents of red or the chandelier earrings but this look is definitely a unanimous “YAAAAAS”.
House of Holland- Brb, we’re on a flight to candy-print-land and we’re not sure when we’ll be back. And the pink socks under those orange tassel slides are absolutely not business-as-usual!
Julien Macdonald- Sorry for the short-sightedness but can we get a little Kim K (with her platinum mane) action in this gorgeous metallic dream?
MM6 Maison Margiela- Not an ordinary white jumpsuit but hey, the body paint isn’t exactly the usual London vibe either. Five stars for this particular no-box-at-all look!
Markus Lupfer- Very feminine and very badass! This pink, textured blazer over the collared leotard and the teal turtle neck paired with the floral block heels is killing us!!
Osman- There’s nothing to beat layered, nude tulle and orange tassels. Except when it’s Osman- exactly as flirty and beautiful as it should be!
Preen by Thornton Bregazzi- This little mauve dress is giving us major prom goals! Look at that sparkly detailing and the carefully crafted layering on the left- it’s everything you’d want to see on the London runway.
Ralph and Russo- Leaving us speechless as usual, and confused more than ever! Can one really pick a favourite amongst these stunners? Sonam, get to it already! We can’t wait for the next IIFA to see her in one of these beauties.
Tommy Hilfiger- ROAR is correct! Gigi, Bella and Anwar graced the ramp for Tommy, closing LFW with a very, very drool-worthy collection.
TopShop Unique– Feathers, crystals, fur and croc print done just the right way. Can’t wait to get our hands on this one.
Versace- Didn’t see grunge coming back any time soon, but Versace clearly has it’s way of spinning things around! Black is the only black and here’s why.
