Dior et moi - Fall 2017

It’s a love story that began 10 years ago, the first time a laid eyes on my  moms Dior Saddle Bag. My mother has 4 sisters who would shop together and often buy the same things in 4 different colours, I remember being so fascinated by their style and wardrobes full of precious Dior.

Even in my styling days, my favourite sourcing trips were naturally the ones involving visits to the Dior store at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai.

My sister and I bought our first Dior bags around the time of my engagement and her graduation. Keeping the family tradition alive, we picked up the same Lady Dior Shop Bag in different colours, black and midnight blue. So when I saw the Dior Fall ready-to-wear 2017 collection, it immediately took me back to the days of my first Dior.

A quote from Monsieur Christian Dior reading, “Among all colors, navy blue is the only one which can ever compete with black, it has all the same qualities,”

This colour takeover on the runway this season definitely thinking, is navy blue the new black?

So here goes, my photo story of 50 shades of blue with Dior Fall  2017 paired with new and classic accessories shot against a rare Bombay beautiful blue sky.
